What to do if it rains on your family photo session day?

Rainy day options for an Everett WA family photo session.

You’re all set for your family photo session and as luck would have it, there is rain in the forecast. Now what?

A lot goes into planning for a session and it can be challenging and disappointing to have to change the plan at the last minute. Believe me, I get it.

I know it is not always easy to reschedule and sometimes there is no choice but to keep the day as schedule.

But, not to worry… we have a few options.

OPTION ONE-I know of some locations that will work, keep us dry and add an urban feel to your images.  Maybe it’s not exactly what you had in mind, but capturing the love and essence of your family can happen wherever we go. And sometimes a whole different experience can be a fun and welcome change.

OPTION TWO-If that look isn’t for you, we can do our session in your home. All that is needed is some decent window light. FIVE REASONS TO DO AN IN HOME PHOTO SESSION

OPTION THREE–If all else fails, we can reschedule.

Being open to change can be a good thing.

A photo session at Everett Station

A photo session at Mukilteo Station

This location has a cool skybridge enclosed with windows. Although it’s not heated it does keep us dry and protected from any wind.

The light is great and there is room for the kids to run while being safe.

There are great brightly lit straircases.

The sidewalks by the train tracks give a unique backdrop to the photos.

The kids will love seeing a train pass right below them.

A photo session at the Mukilteo Ferry Terminal

This location offers beautiful wood tones on the modern rustic building.

The lobby has large windows with great light.

There are a few areas that allow us to be outside while still under cover.

There is a large dock that overlooks the ferry. The kids will enjoy seeing the ferry come in and out.
