SCHOOL PICTURE DAY IS COMING

Greetings!

I’m Kathleen Williams and I am a family photographer based out of Snohomish. I also photograph a number of schools in the fall and spring. I am the same photographer that photographed the children at The Shyne School this past fall.

If this will be the first time for your child, I have a different more modern approach to school photography than what you may be used to. I make the experience fun for the kids and I encourage playfullness so that I can capture all kinds of expressions and emotion. Instead of forcing a smile, the children will be encouraged to be themselves and let their own personalities shine. You will receive a gallery of portraits where you can pick and choose your favorites.

My goal is to provide an easy and more personal experience to all the families who attend The Shyne School.

When will Kathleen be at our school?

Tuesday, April 25th and Wednesday, April 26th.

Is there an order form?

There are no order forms-simply have your child show up for picture day. Each child will be photographed, unless you choose for them not to.

What should my child wear?

I am doing things a little differently this spring.  I will encourage the kids to stand or sit on a stool where their feet show. Please keep that in mind when choosing their clothing and shoes. :)

We want the focus to be on the child, not the clothing.

  • Solid, neutral colors are best.

  • Layering looks great.

  • Simple patterns look good, but keep the pattern small.

  • Stay away from logo’s or graphics as they draw attention.

  • No bright or neon colors as they cast color onto the skin.

AFTER THE SESSION

How will I order?

Within two weeks of photo day, the school will send out an email with the link to the school proofing gallery.

Each child will have an album with images in both color and black and white. I do not choose which photos you order; you do. From your album you will be able to order portraits, canvas wraps, and digital files directly from the viewing gallery. The ordering process is simple and secure.

The gallery will be live for seven (7) days.

ALL ORDERS MUST BE PLACED IN THAT SEVEN DAY PERIOD.  Once orders have been placed, your photos and/or canvas wraps will be sent from the lab directly to you. Digital download orders will go to your email.
