SCHOOL PICTURE DAY IS COMING

 

Greetings Goddard School families!

I’m Kathleen Williams and I am a family photographer based out of Snohomish. I also photograph a number of schools in the fall and spring. I am so excited to be back at The Goddard School on March 17th and 18th.

This is my 6th year doing school photography and my main goal is to make the experience fun for the kids. I take the time to talk to them, I give them simple prompts and I encourage playfullness. I strive to capture all kinds of expressions and emotion, because let’s face it, kids are the best. Instead of forcing a smile, I encourage them to be themselves and let their own personalities shine. In the end you will receive a gallery with a variety of images where you can pick and choose your favorites.

My desire is to provide an easy and personaled experience to all the families who attend The Goddard School.

 

When will Kathleen be at our school?

Monday, March 17th and Tuesday, March 18th.

Is there an order form?

There are no order forms or anything to do up front. Simply have your child show up for picture day. Each child will be photographed, unless you choose to opt out.

Since we did school photos this past fall, I am changing it up this spring with a different look.

The photos will only be offered in black and white set against a white backdrop. This approach really lets the kids be the focus.

What should my child wear?

Because the photos are black and white you can be more bold with the clothes. In fact, bold choices add the the personaility of the photo, so have fun with it.

  • Bold stripes.

  • Layering looks great as does texture.

  • Floral patterns

  • A cute graphic (not a logo)

  • Overalls

  • Don’t do solid black or navy. It can be a bit harsh, choose a softer color instead.

  • Don’t do solid white as it will blend into the background.

  • And if your child has that one outfit that they love, let them wear it. It will be a fun memory to look back on. :)

Will there be sibling photos?

Yes. I will take sibling photos for children that have a sibling at the school. If you would like for them to do so. Each child will have their own album with individual images as well as sibling shots.

Will class photos be taken?

No, those are taken in the fall.

AFTER THE SESSION

How will I order?

Within two weeks of photo day, the school will send out an email with the link to the school proofing gallery.

Each child will have an album with images in both color and black and white. I do not choose which photos you order; you do. From your album you will be able to order prints and digital files directly from the viewing gallery. The ordering process is simple and secure. Your prints will be sent directly to you, not the school. This insures that your images will arrive safely.

There will be instructions on how to view and order from your child’s album

The gallery will be live for seven (7) days.

ALL ORDERS MUST BE PLACED IN THAT SEVEN DAY PERIOD.  Once orders have been placed, your photos will be sent from the lab directly to you. Digital download orders will go to your email.
